Volunteer Positions

Parents: We Need Your Help

We love our parent volunteers!   As a non-profit organization we rely solely on the support of team parents to make the club work. 

Most important task - - enjoy watching your kids having fun and learning to play a terrific sport!

Parents are encouraged to be involved in whatever way they can.  Help is always needed to make things run smoother.  Some examples of parent help are:  Assistant Coach (training is provided), game coordinator, team parent, field and equipment, field maintenance, scorekeepers, fundraising and PR. Parents are encouraged to be involved in whatever way they can. A list of positions is below.  Please e-mail Joy Bender, Club Manager, to sign-up!  


Volunteer Positions

 

Manager
Overall organizational responsibility and delegation of tasks; send communications to parents and players.

Secretary

Interface with sPortability to provide team rosters and prepare player rosters.

Treasurer
Maintain financial book
s, handle account receivable/payable.
 

League Liaison

All clubs are required to provide someone to act as their representative with the NCJLA. We need strong and dedicated people who will help shape the club’s future at league level. We need at least 4 parents for this job.  Requires attending monthly league meetings in San Francisco, report back to manager about changes within the league.  (telephone conferences available)

Game Scheduler
Schedule games with other teams (starts December 1) one of the parent coaches would be great for this position.

Coaches
Confirm refs for each game; bring ball bags and cones to practices and games (ball bag will contain first aide kit, extra mouthpieces, stop watches and team roster.).

If you have lacrosse experience we’d love to have you join our coaching staff. Coaching clinics will be provided.

Assistant Coaches
Assist coach at practice by setting up and running drills, coaching smaller groups and supporting where necessary.  No lacrosse experience is necessary - training will be provided.  May want to short referee course to serve as back-up ref in emergencies. 

If you have coaching experience whether or not it is lacrosse, we want to have you join our coaching staff.   Schedules can be arranged between you and the head coach.   No lacrosse experience is needed and training is provided.
